Montgomery County Public Schools spend an average of $16,344 per student per year, among the highest in the nation! Even so, our high schools have fallen from the top rank even as enrollments are increasing and test scores are decreasing. The Teachers Union, and the Democrats they back, say the answer is more money. But, the average cost per student attending private schools is about $1,000 less, while their test scores and graduation rates are higher. School choice and school standards are needed and I will support them.
